The Guide

Watering Holes & Après Spots of the Three Valleys

This is one subject in which we can claim to have a lot of expertise! Here are some of our favourite haunts for après, late night or date night!

Best for après

Boulotte, Courchevel Moriond

With live music Mon, Wed & Fri the Boulotte is a great place to get your dance on. It attracts an eclectic crowd of all ages, and hosts some of the best bands, made all the more entertaining by owner Katie and her dry wit.

Ski Lodge, La Tania

If packed and sweaty dance floors are more your thing then get yourself over to the Ski Lodge. Generally a slightly younger crowd, shots are the name of the game for après and throughout the evening. Après on Thursday generally goes off.

The Drop Inn, Courchevel Le Praz

The Drop Inn hosts a number of special nights throughout the week, including free food from 5pm for Tapas Tuesday (don’t be late!), great value and delicious wines on Wednesday (yep, you guessed it, Wine Wednesday) and a quiz night on Sunday.

Lodge du Village, Méribel Village

One of the most fun and rowdy après venues in Méribel, the LDV has live music six nights a week (Sat off). Tuesday is by far the busiest, where the party really gets going with an excitable crowd.

Rond Point, Méribel

The Ronnie is a long time Méribel institution with live music from 5-6.30pm seven nights a week. As the season wears on and the nights get lighter and warmer the party moves onto the sun terrace, hosting some big name DJs and acts, as well as local favourites.

Folie Douce, Méribel

Renowned for its Ibiza-style dance parties where table dancing is pretty much obligatory, the Folie is a lively après spot not to be missed for the theatrics alone. Their dancers perform a themed act daily from around 3-4.45. Think cabaret on steroids. Courchevelians can join the fun and hop on the last lift back.

Best for date night or civilised drinks

Fire & Ice Bar, Courchevel Moriond

At the foot of the pistes in 1650 the Fire & Ice Bar offers a sumptuous setting with a fire pit, fairy lights, faux fur blankets and classy drinks. Despite the swanky feel their happy hour (4-6pm) drinks offers make it surprisingly affordable.

Cave des Lys, Courchevel Le Praz

Atmospheric little wine cellar in Courchevel Le Praz, serving a wide selection of wines by the glass or the bottle as well as lovely sharing platters of cheese, charcuterie and antipasti.

Copiña, Courchevel Moriond & Méribel

Serving impressive cocktails and a range of tapas in a cosy setting, Copiña is perfect for a drink with that special person, or a small group of friends.

Best for evening & late night

Funky Fox, Courchevel Moriond

The Fox is a popular late evening venue with bands and DJs playing into the early hours several nights a week. While the party generally starts around 11pm, the Fox also serves excellent meals if you want to line your stomach first.

L’Elephant, Courchevel Le Praz

L’Elephant hosts live music several nights a week from around 10pm to an enthusiastic crowd. They also host big sporting events and après bands too, so there’s something for everyone.

La Taverne, Méribel

The Tav is well located in the centre of town with a busy bar which hosts local DJs and live music. Frequented by holidaymakers and locals alike it’s a fun and friendly venue.

O’Sullivans, Méribel

If you’re keen to carry on throughout the night then O’Sullivans is a club which opens around midnight with the party carrying on ‘til 5am. Expect late night parties, cocktails and some big name DJs.

Le Bubble, Courchevel Moriond

Draws a young crowd and throws a great party. Think shots and resident DJs: look out for their themed nights. Also a good spot to stop for a coffee at the bottom of the slopes.
